![]() Pick up my sci-fi novels Herokiller and Herokiller 2, and read my first series, The Earthborn Trilogy, which is also on audiobook. I don’t love it, and I hope Infinity Ward reconsiders the current challenge system for non-paying players.įollow me on Twitter, YouTube and Instagram. ![]() I don’t know, all of this just seems pretty weird to me, and like it’s no coincidence that the two strongest, most used guns in Warzone are ones that heavily encourage you to buy and play Modern Warfare for full access to them. And I would be amazed if the Bruen was nerfed significantly in the next few weeks or months even though it’s now a staple in every loadout I see. The M4 is closest to the Grau, probably, but the Grau went through a recent “nerf” that was supposed to change damage falloff and stability, but in practice it barely feels like it was touched. And yet.this all still seems pretty not great to me.įurthermore, Infinity Ward seems to have little interest in balancing these weapons so the non-locked alternatives have more of a chance. And last time I complained about the Grau, I heard from Activision reminding me about free multiplayer weekends, which can be opportunities to unlock these guns in Modern Warfare without paying. There are versions of the Grau and Bruen available as random drops inside Warzone, albeit not with the “correct” attachments to make them true monsters. To me, this comes across as Call of Duty effectively paywalling two of the best guns in the game, which in turn, feels a lot like selling power, the biggest microtransaction no-no in gaming. But head to a normal Modern Warfare game and respawn with a smoke grenade every life and it becomes easily doable. Its rate of fire did get nerfed a little. Again, this is simply not going to ever happen in Warzone more than once in a blue moon due to the nature of the mode. When it comes to a fast rate of fire, the Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle is a top choice, allowing players to quickly pull off follow-up shots. This time it’s kill three enemies near smoke with an LMG in 15 different matches. With Season 4 lurking just over the horizon, new weapons are sure to be a part of the upcoming free content drop and further changes to Call of Duty: Warzone will undoubtedly change the meta and ranks of the weapons currently available. Then when I started hearing about the Bruen, I went to go equip it and try it out only to find that surprise! It’s another weapon with a requirement that almost certainly needs to be completed in Modern Warfare. The STG44 received numerous buffs and tweaks over the course of the season that solidified its position among the meta and makes it the go-to assault rifle. While the Cooper Carbine and the Blixen have their perks, there is no denying that the standard Vanguard assault rifle - the STG44 - currently reigns supreme among the S tier weaponry for Call of Duty: Warzone. An ideal build for the Blixen will capitalize on the SMG's mobility and high fire rate, while getting its recoil under control so that it can be just as successful at medium range combat as it is close quarters. When practice fails, however, you can still manage to kit your Blixen out just enough to give you an upper hand. The H4 Blixen's three-round burst can make it difficult to master in those intense close range combat scenarios, but a little practice can go a long way toward improving your rate of fire with this compact SMG.
